Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. This policy explains when and how refunds are processed for tickets purchased through BuddyTickets.
1. General Refund Principles
BuddyTickets acts as a platform that connects buyers with event organisers. Refund eligibility is primarily determined by the individual event organiser's policy, which is displayed on the event page at the time of purchase. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the refund conditions stated by the organiser.
2. Event Cancellations by the Organiser
If an event is officially cancelled by the organiser, all ticket holders are entitled to a full refund of the ticket face value. BuddyTickets will notify affected buyers via email and initiate the refund process automatically within 5–10 business days of the cancellation announcement.
Service fees charged by BuddyTickets (if any) are non-refundable in cases of organiser-initiated cancellations unless otherwise required by law.
3. Event Postponements or Venue Changes
If an event is postponed or the venue is significantly changed:
- Your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled date by default.
- If the new date or venue does not suit you, you may request a refund within 7 days of the postponement announcement.
- Refund requests received after this window may not be honoured.
4. Buyer-Initiated Refund Requests
Refunds requested by the buyer (not due to cancellation or postponement) are subject to the organiser's stated policy:
- Full refund: Available if the organiser permits cancellations and your request is made within the organiser's specified window.
- No refund: If the event organiser has marked tickets as non-refundable, BuddyTickets cannot override this policy.
BuddyTickets does not process buyer-initiated refunds for events where the organiser has not enabled refunds. Please check the event page before purchasing.
5. Failed or Duplicate Payments
If you are charged but do not receive a ticket confirmation, or if a duplicate charge occurs, please contact us immediately at my.buddytickets@gmail.com with proof of the transaction. We will investigate and process a full refund within 7 business days if a payment error is confirmed.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Processing times vary depending on your bank or payment provider:
- Credit / debit card: 5–10 business days
- Online banking: 3–7 business days
- Digital wallets: 1–3 business days
BuddyTickets is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or financial institutions.
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:
- BuddyTickets platform service fees (where applicable)
- Tickets for events that have already taken place
- Tickets where the buyer failed to attend the event without prior cancellation
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please:
- Log in to your BuddyTickets account.
- Navigate to My Tickets and locate the relevant ticket.
- Contact our support team at my.buddytickets@gmail.com with your order reference number and the reason for the refund.
Our support team will review your request and respond within 2 business days.
